DigitalOcean's customer-facing teams were trying to stay current on 35+ product lines with bookmarks, Slack threads, and tribal memory. We built a single product-intelligence dashboard - and cut enablement time by 20% with 100% team adoption.
DigitalOcean ships fast. 35+ product lines, weekly releases, competitive moves landing on the calendar mid-quarter. Customer-facing teams - TAMs, CSMs, sales engineers - were each running their own enablement system, which meant nobody had the same picture twice. Customer conversations suffered.
The best internal tools aren't built by the team that should use them - they're built by someone who lives the workflow daily and can't take the friction anymore. Building this dashboard while running an enterprise book taught me what AI-native builders already know: ship to yourself first. If it doesn't survive contact with your own week, it won't survive anyone else's.
That habit is what eventually pulled me toward shipping AI agents under my own banner.
