The frustration

Modern work happens across email, WhatsApp, Slack, and a dozen other channels. The signal-to-noise ratio is broken: most messages don't need you, but the few that do are buried. People I work with are losing real time triaging the same inbox three times a day, and missing the threads that actually matter.

I wanted an agent that read everything for me - and only interrupted when something genuinely deserved my attention.

The agent

• Listen. Connect Email and WhatsApp. AlertOwl ingests every new conversation in real time.
• Rank. An LLM scores each thread on urgency, sender importance, and required action.
• Summarise. Long threads collapse to a 2-line read; replies get drafted in your voice.
• Alert. Urgent → instant ping. Everything else → one daily digest. That's it.

What shipped

What I learned

Trust is the entire product. People let an AI read their inbox only if they can audit every decision and override every rule. That meant the v1 dashboard had to show why a thread was flagged or skipped - not just that it was. Once that explainability layer landed, retention jumped.

Next on the roadmap: Slack & Telegram support, team-wide digests, and a custom-rules editor for power users.
